We are in an exciting phase of growth and are pleased to offer a new post for a Band 6 Audiologist who will be responsible for providing adult Audiology clinics at Express Diagnostics. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician looking to develop their career within an innovative and patient focused department.
This role includes opportunities for career development within both clinical and leadership positions and active involvement in mentoring colleagues, auditing, service improvement and UKAS IQIPS accreditation.
The post holder will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to service development and continuous improvement. A high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential, alongside appropriate professional qualifications and registration with HCPC and/or AHCS.

Main duties of the job- Performance of PureTone Audiometry
- Performance of BoneConduction Audiometry
- Performance ofTympanometry and Acoustic Reflex
- Undertaking ear mouldimpressions
- Undertaking hearing aidand mould fittings
- Ensuring a highstandard of patient/client care including the cleanliness and stocking ofclinical areas
- Completing clinical audits
- Participating in UKAS IQIPS accreditation
- Use of the patientmanagement system
- Maintain and updateprofessional knowledge including new procedures and techniques
- Audiology stockordering ensuring correct levels are maintained and stock inventory correct.

- Performance of Pure Tone Audiometry
- Performance of Bone Conduction Audiometry
- Performance of Tympanometry and Acoustic Reflex
- Undertaking ear mould impressions
- Undertaking hearing aid and mould fittings
- Participating in the UKAS IQIPS accreditation scheme
- Participating in the departmental audit schedule
- Ensuring a high standard of patient/client care including the cleanliness and stocking of clinical areas
- Use of the patient management system
- Maintain and update professional knowledge including new procedures and techniques
- Audiology stock ordering ensuring correct levels are maintained and stock inventory correct.
- . BSc (Hons) Audiology or equivalent
- . Registered Clinical Physiologist (Audiology)
- . HCPC registered Clinical Scientist
- . Evidence of training in specialist area
- . MSc in Audiology/ M level credits in general audiology/specialist areas
- Basic audiology training
- Minimum of post BSc clinical experience
- Experience with complex adult and paediatric patients
- Experience of communicating effectively
- Experience of training others
- Experience of service development and audit
- Specialist Paediatric testing VRA, ERA, knowledge of NHSP working
