What you will do

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the dispensary as delegated by the Dispensary Manager.
  • Act as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT), ensuring accurate and safe dispensing practices.
  • Dispense and issue prescriptions while coordinating workflow within the dispensary to maximise efficiency.
  • Provide induction and training on dispensary procedures and pharmacy software to new and existing staff.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional practice, governance, and patient safety.
  • Support the delivery of efficient pharmacy services in line with organisational procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • GPhC Registration: Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Hospital Experience: Significant post-qualification hospital pharmacy experience is essential.
  • ACT Qualification: Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification is required.
  • Mental Health Experience: Previous mental health pharmacy experience is highly desirable.
  • Transport: Access to transport is beneficial, although car ownership is not essential.
