An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Liver and Digestive Health HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant Service at the Royal Free Hospital.
The Liver and Digestive Health Division is seeking a new Clinical Pathway Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of their HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant Service.
The Royal Free Hospital is a tertiary HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant referral centre centre serving a wide geographical area, and provides secondary HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant services to the local population. The Unit has an international reputation for management of cirrhosis complications, including portal hypertension, and is a high volume TIPS centre. Liver transplant activity has increased steadily performing around 120 liver transplants each year. The unit has been a leader in promoting supportive and palliative care for patients with cirrhosis.
Main duties of the jobThis involves developing strong working relationships and working closely with navigators, clinical pathway administrators and clinical team PAs within their team and other managers, all key members of the multi-disciplinary team within primary and secondary care and service users relating to the service specialty they cover to ensure all patients receive a consistent and effective service. This includes working with consultants, medical, nursing and therapy teams, divisional and operational managers, central appointment office, ward administrators, diagnostic and imaging departments, external agencies e.g. GPs, other hospitals, social services, police etc.

Person Specification Education & Professional Qualifications- Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience.
- English and Math at GCSE level or equivalent
- Customer Services attendance certificate
- Strong working knowledge and proficient in the use of Outlook package - Power point, Excel, Microsoft Word as well as Access, email, Internet.
- C o u r s e s / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development.
- RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience.
