A fast growing AI software company is building the future of AI automation by transforming unstructured data into intelligent automations for customer support and sales processes. Founded by former leaders from top AI engineering teams, the company is expanding its platform team in London. With a close knit, collaborative culture, engineers have the opportunity to ship features from day one and work directly with the founders.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the London based platform team on developing new features and infrastructure.
• Take ownership of backend systems, focusing on robust architecture and scalable database design.
• Build backend services using Python, SQL, FastAPI, and Pydantic.
• Contribute to product development while working on challenging technical problems.
• Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 3-8 years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL, with experience designing and maintaining complex backend systems.
• Experience with infrastructure and database design, ensuring robust and scalable architectures.
• Prior experience working on technically complex products, preferably at startups or high performance computing companies.
• Strong problem solving skills, curiosity, and passion for building high quality software.

Preferred

• Experience with lower level languages such as C or Rust.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and modern backend frameworks (FastAPI, Pydantic).
• Previous work at companies known for complex backend or AI systems, such as Meta, Palantir, gaming platforms, or AI/ML startups.
• Passionate about learning and developing technical expertise in your spare time.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $100K - $170K, commensurate with experience.
• Equity: 0.1% - 0.3%.
• 5 days per week onsite in London.
