Back End .Net Developer

This exciting role offers a great opportunity for a creative and talented dotnet backend developer who is looking to join a small, focused, passionate, and supportive team to help contribute to the evolution of our core B2B ordering platform and play a key role in the transition to a next-generation digital ordering experience. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will help us improve our back-end applications to drive productivity and efficiency within our business and delight our customers.

As an experienced dotnet developer (minimum 5 years) in a commercial setting, you will work as part of a focused product team developing our core B2B ordering platform, contributing to sprint velocity, stand-ups, estimations, and retrospectives. You should have strong back-end development skills with a clear understanding of modern dotnet, C#, and Entity Framework. Experience with OAuth2.0 is a plus.

You will be involved in all stages of software development, from architecture design through deployment to performance evaluation in production.

You should be self-motivated and capable of delivering timely, quality work against deadlines with minimal supervision.

Our Tech Stack

Our core stack includes C# / .Net / SQL Server / RESTful APIs / Azure Event Hub. We utilize tools like LaunchDarkly, Grafana, GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Copilot, and Pluralsight. Our CI/CD pipelines are managed via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. Infrastructure is primarily on Azure, including App Service and Cloudflare. The frontend technologies include Angular, React, and Flutter. We are committed to continuous learning and adopting the latest technologies.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps for continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with team members.
• Perform code reviews to ensure standards are met.
• Troubleshoot errors in development and production environments.
• Engage with customers/users to understand their challenges.
• Proactively develop your skills and seek out learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve understanding of business and customer needs.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to dotnet and API development.

About You

Essential:

• At least 5 years of commercial backend development experience.
• Proven expertise in C# and .NET framework.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design.
• Experience with Entity Framework for ORM.
• Experience developing APIs with ASP.NET Web API.
• Familiarity with Azure services like Application Insights, Web Apps, and SQL Database.
• Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of LaunchDarkly or similar feature flagging tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with testing frameworks like xUnit.
• Knowledge of Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Understanding of OWASP top 10 security practices.
