About the Role

Our insurance client is looking for a skilled Azure/DevOps Engineer to support the management of our Azure Data Centre and CI/CD infrastructure. The initial focus will be on clearing a backlog of infrastructure and pipeline tasks, with a longer-term goal of laying the foundations for an Internal Developer Platform (DevEx) to improve engineering efficiency and developer experience .

This is a hands-on role requiring deep Azure expertise, strong DevOps practices, and solid networking knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, or Bicep).

Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Apply strong networking skills to support infrastructure and deployment needs.

Tackle an existing backlog of infrastructure and pipeline work.

Contribute to the design and readiness of a future Internal Developer Platform (DevEx).

Collaborate with internal IT stakeholders in a professional and patient manner.

Work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience managing Azure environments using IaC tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep).

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines for CI/CD.

Solid understanding of networking principles in cloud environments.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
