Candidates should only apply if they are available to start in March 2026.As AVP Strategy for PL Re (Division) you will partner with the PL Re leadership team and key stakeholders to develop and execute the strategy for the Division. You will play a key role in driving strategic planning and execution of strategic initiatives, as well as supporting the CEO of PL Re and the PL Re Executive Committee in successfully delivering on the strategy day-to-day.You will own the Division-wide annual strategic planning process and support the quarterly reporting of progress against the strategy, ensuring alignment with Enterprise processes. This will involve significant collaboration with stakeholders across the Line of Business and Functions within PL Re and Pacific Life as a whole to ensure successful execution. As part of the PL Re Strategy team you will support our strategic intelligence capability, including tracking market trends, competitor and client actions, innovation and new technology and ad hoc strategic research. You will support the execution of strategic initiatives across Lines of Business and Functions and collaborate with the Project Management team on any Division-wide projects.In this role you will be a key member of a strong and diverse team and will gain wide exposure across Pacific Life Re and Pacific Life. The role will provide opportunities for significant influence across the business.# Description Develop and communicate the Division-wide business strategy including optimisation, entering new Lines of Business, and developing new capabilities; support for LoBs where appropriate Lead or support strategic initiatives for Capital Solutions and PL Re Functions, including overseeing execution and prioritisation; support for Protection and S&R where appropriate Own annual strategic planning and support quarterly reporting of progress against the strategy Support strategic intelligence and research, including market trends, competitors actions and long-term industry trends relevant to PL Re Team and personal developmentQualifications & experience At least 7+ years' experience in strategy consulting or equivalent relevant business experience ideally in the financial services/ insurance sector Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to simplify complex problems, share recommendations and present these in concise reports and presentations Able to think strategically and bring commercial rigour to execution Ability to collaborate and deliver a project or workstream with limited support Experience of influencing and engaging senior teams in a range of business contexts (Re)insurance or wider financial services industry experience is preferred MBA or equivalent degree Working For Pacific Life Re Every person in our global team is valued for the unique qualities they bring to our business and we seek to build their expertise and support their individual ambitions at every step.
