You'll spend 48 months progressing toward the Level 6 Control Technical Support Apprenticeship, gaining hands on experience in robotics, conveyors, sensors, IoT, predictive maintenance and machine learning driven automation.

Key job responsibilities

• Support maintenance and fault finding on automated systems and robotics
• Use diagnostic tools to keep conveyors and sortation equipment running smoothly
• Plan preventive maintenance and safety checks
• Collaborate with engineers to develop new process improvements and energy efficient solutions

Basic Qualifications

• Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
• Have the right to live and work in England
• Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years
• Be a UK resident for the duration of the programme
• Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later
• Have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above, including Maths and English
• Three A levels at C (grade 4) or above in Maths, IT, Physics or an engineering related subject, or an equivalent BTEC Level 3 engineering qualification of 180 credits
• Provide a Statement of Comparability for non UK qualifications
• Programme is a 48 month fixed term contract; no prior higher qualification in a similar subject

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance or Engineering HNC/D qualification, ideally with PLC, automation, electronics or electrical bias
