Job Description
Overview 
CREGG is delighted to be partnering with a leading machine building company in Dundalk to recruit an experienced Automation Engineer for a permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering team delivering innovative automation solutions for the processing industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design, program, and commission control panels and machinery
- Develop automation solutions for overhead conveyor systems, belt conveyors, and integrated production equipment
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams on machine design and development
- Support the delivery of new automation projects and continuous improvements
- PLCs: Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, with occasional Schneider and Siemens systems
- Design Software: AutoCAD LT currently in use, with plans to explore EPLAN and/or SolidWorks Electrical
- Opportunity to contribute to future SCADA system development and equipment monitoring projects
- 3-4 years' experience in automation, controls, or machine building environments
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or electrical design software
- Knowledge of industrial machinery, conveyor systems, or manufacturing automation is advantageous
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
