Audit Semi-Senior - About The Role

As an Audit Semi Senior, you will take on real responsibility early in your career and have the chance to lead your own Audit engagements while working closely with managers and partners. From planning through to completion, you will gain valuable exposure across a broad and varied client portfolio. As your experience develops, you will progress to more complex assignments, setting you on a clear path toward becoming an Audit Manager with your own portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a variety of Audit engagements across a diverse client base, liaising with managers and partners as needed
  • Preparing Audit files, contributing to planning, and leading or assisting with fieldwork
  • Supporting the training and development of junior auditors and reviewing their work where required
  • Preparing and finalising statutory accounts
  • Drafting tax computations for review by the Tax team
  • Ensuring compliance with auditing standards and internal processes throughout each assignment
  • Building positive client relationships and helping to ensure each engagement runs smoothly and efficiently
The successful Audit Semi-Senior will have:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or soon to be qualified
  • At least 3 years' UK practice experience in both audit and accounts
  • Experience with Xero, Sage, Caseware and CCH would be an advantage
  • Enjoy working with and helping to develop junior staff
