Location: Bognor Regis Campus and Chichester Campus
Role: Associate Lecturer in Acting (Teaching Led)
Salary: £41.86 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Work pattern: Variable time (see timetable below)
ResponsibilitiesDeliver high quality acting training within Musical Theatre programmes.
Teach, assess and provide academic support, developing students' technical, creative and performance skills.
Deliver teaching sessions according to the following timetable:
- Semester 1 - Tuesday 4.00 5.30, Wednesday 8 30, Friday 12.00 1.30
- Semester 2 - Tuesday 4.30 7.30, Wednesday 4.30 7.30
Contribute to programme delivery and maintain currency with contemporary practice in acting and Musical Theatre.
Qualifications and Experience- In depth knowledge of acting techniques, pedagogies and contemporary actor training practices relevant to Musical Theatre.
- Knowledge of Stanislavski based approaches, realism, naturalism, improvisation, movement, character development, rehearsal processes and directing.
- Experience developing performance skills and providing constructive feedback to students or performers in educational and/or professional settings.
- Practical or professional experience and/or experience teaching in higher education, conservatoire or vocational settings.
- Ability to use technologies to enhance learning, assessment and feedback.
Work within a small academic team that values student centred, inclusive and flexible teaching methods.
