Kennedys is looking for an Associate to work in the Insolvency team in our Commercial division. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in our London office with real opportunities to take on responsibility and for career progression.

Team

Kennedys' Insolvency team has the breadth and depth of experience to deal with all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency and restructuring. It has particular expertise in complex investigations and contentious insolvencies. Many of its cases involve fraud, tax evasion, money laundering or recovery of the proceeds of crime. A significant part of the team's work also involves providing insolvency advice to insurers on a diverse range of complex assignments.

Cases

  • Corporate and personal insolvency matters within a domestic and cross-border insolvency context.
  • Advice on complex insolvency matters to insurers.

Required experience

  • 3-5 years' UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience
  • An understanding of, and interest in, insolvency law and procedures relevant to the level of experience
  • A genuine interest in working on complex legal problems and being stretched outside of comfort zone
  • Experience of running insolvency cases in a team environment
  • Must be very organised and self-motivated, desiring of increasing levels of responsibility
  • Previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
