We're looking for an accomplished finance professional and inspiring leader to oversee all aspects of financial control and accounting across our Trusts. In this pivotal role, you'll lead a high-performing finance team, drive continuous improvement in systems and processes, and provide expert strategic and technical financial advice to the Executive Team. You'll play a key part in shaping our financial sustainability and ensuring robust governance, working collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners. Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be a senior member of the Finance Team, providing effective and professional leadership on the finance operational aspects for Kingston and Richmond Foundation Trust (KRFT), supporting the Deputy Chief Finance Officer and providing cover as required for the Deputy CFO.
To ensure the development of efficient and robust procedures throughout the department and promote good financial control within the Trusts. To manage the Senior Finance Team, ensuring an effective finance team is in place at all times. To provide strategic and technical finance support to the Deputy CFO.
To act as the lead for both Trust's financial control and accounting function providing effective and professional leadership of the team and supporting the senior finance team in the formulation of Trust and departmental strategies.

Qualifications- Holds a recognised Professional Accountancy Qualification
- Degree or equivalent
- Evidence of CPO
- ECDL or working towards
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Advanced spreadsheet skills
- A broad understanding of financial issues within the NHS
- Understanding of Foundation Trust financial regime
- VAT
- Practical experience of NHS Finance at senior level
- Staff management
- Able to build rapport and credibility with senior clinical and managerial teams
- Managing large complex departments
- Acute Trust experience
- Evidence of being able to provide strong professional leadership
