Job Title: Associate Director - Financial Communications
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role Summary:
The Senior Associate - Financial Communications is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic financial communication initiatives across the organization. This role involves crafting high-impact content, managing media relations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely dissemination of financial and investment-related messaging to global audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit a wide range of high-quality financial communications materials, including press releases, investor messaging, media statements, speeches, earnings commentary, and briefing documents.
- Collaborate with investment and finance teams to translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives tailored for external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with senior leadership and external PR agencies to deliver cohesive messaging across markets.
- Support reputation management and media positioning by identifying proactive communication opportunities and managing sensitive financial disclosures.
- Track and analyze media coverage related to financial activities, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Develop Q&A documents, talking points, and executive messaging frameworks for financial updates, investment announcements, and global forums.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global financial trends, media landscapes, and investor sentiment to inform communication strategy.
- Manage internal approvals and alignment across relevant departments for all financial communication materials.
- Act as a key contact for financial media and ensure accurate representation of the organization in media coverage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Finance, Economics, Journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in financial communications, investor relations, media relations, or related disciplines, preferably in a global corporate, investment, or public sector environment.
- Proven track record of developing and executing effective financial communications strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of financial terminology, capital markets, and investment structures.
- Experience working in a highly confidential and sensitive environment with C-level executives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools, analytics, and financial disclosure protocols.
