Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for automation and controls systems project management towards specification, design, start up, and commissioning in a cGMP environment. As an Associate Automation Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing projects related to design, commissioning, and performance improvement of automated equipment
  • Providing design and approval of hardware, software, and controls for automated equipment
  • Providing technical and automation operational support to Manufacturing and Facilities
  • Implementing software and hardware changes and upgrades, understanding the impact of actions on Manufacturing and Facilities
  • Implementing modification and change control procedures and protocols
  • Supporting the Validation Department with initial design review, software testing, protocol execution, and review
  • Programming PLC and HMI applications for automated process equipment, troubleshooting, and demonstrating knowledge of instrumentation and controls
Qualifications
  • Self starter with high initiative and a data driven approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility working in different environments and teams
  • BS/BEng or higher in Science, Engineering, Instrumentation or Software Programming; relevant experience may substitute for education
