Associate - Energy Transition (M&A Advisory) - London

We are working with a well established and highly active boutique advisory firm in London that is looking to hire an Associate to support its continued growth within the Energy Transition space.

Our client has built a strong reputation across the European energy market and operates with a mid sized, specialist team covering a wide range of energy verticals. While the platform is primarily M&A focused, it also offers exposure to Debt Advisory and Capital Markets, providing Associates with a well rounded advisory skillset.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high performing junior Associate to join a lean, dynamic and entrepreneurial team, working closely with senior bankers on live transactions and business development initiatives.

Role Overview

  • Execution of buy side and sell side M&A mandates across Energy Transition sectors
  • Financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and transaction documentation
  • Direct involvement in origination activities, including pitch preparation and client interaction
  • Exposure to Debt Advisory and Capital Markets transactions where relevant
  • Working closely with senior team members in a flat, highly collaborative structure

Sector Focus

Our client is active across a broad range of Energy Transition and sustainable infrastructure verticals, including:

  • Battery Storage
  • EV / E Mobility
  • BioGas
  • Circular Economy and adjacent sectors

Candidate Profile

  • Currently working at an energy focused boutique or advisory platform
  • Strong M&A execution experience within Energy or Energy Transition
  • Junior Associate level (or strong Analyst ready to step up)
  • Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
  • A European language is desired (German, Italian, French or Spanish)
