Assistant Transport Manager

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Transport Manager to join our clients successful team.

Duties of an Assistant Transport Manager:

• Plan routes and allocate resources efficiently
• Support the Transport Manager with daily operations
• Monitor deliveries and resolve issues
• Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and meet Health and Safety standards
• Act as main point of contact for drivers
• Schedule drivers and check compliance
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
• Maintain compliance with transport laws and regulations
• Assist with audits, reports and KPI tracking

What we would like from you:

• Experience in transport or logistics, preferably in supervisory role
• Thorough understanding of transport compliance and regulatory requirements
• Class 2 (Cat C) Driving License - required
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient with IT systems, including Excel and transport software
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Support and guidance provided to complete Transport Manager CPC
• Career progression towards Transport Manager role
