Job Description

You will assist the Telecoms Manager in the delivery of an effective telecoms strategy. This strategy will ensure a safe, reliable and cost-effective system controlling signalling equipment for the safe passage of trains.

Essential Criteria

• Possess a minimum of a HNC qualification or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering with a minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role in the maintenance of Railway Telecom Systems.
• Experience of Safety, Health & Environment.
• Experience of procedures, processes and assessment in competency frameworks.
• Experience of auditing within an engineering environment.
• Experience of managing staff in a unionized environment.
• Experience in the use of databases.
• Experience of using Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Full current driving licence.

Desirable Criteria

• ILM Level 3 qualification.
• Experience of CISCO Systems.
