The jobThe Operations Assistant Team Leader is primarily responsible in assisting the Team Leader where required in the day-to-day delivery of service provision, ensuring all operational and compliance targets are met.
Providing support for operational and clinical staff. Reporting daily activity to the UKEMS's management.
At all times the post holder must ensure patient safety and reduction in harm to patients, self, colleagues and others by assessing risks and adopting safe working practices.
Assisting in accurate communication at all times between all stakeholders and operational staff working at the site.
To contribute to the safe, timely and effective running of the daily operation of the division and vehicle fleet.
Key duties and responsibilities includeCommunicate with colleagues including -clinical staff, the training team, team leaders at other locations and the control team
Ensure crews are booked within the shift start time requirements, minimising any unnecessary down times throughout the shift
Provision ofstaff rotas plus thereporting ofpatient /journey details
Both office based and on shift.
Daily and weekly vehicle checks keeping accurate records and reporting any discrepancies
Random spot checks across the fleet with particular regard to internal and external cleanliness of the vehicle, health and safety equipment and necessary documents
Ensure our colleagues on the road understand their roles and are working within the clinical governance strategy ,promoting excellence in clinical practice in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and company guidelines
Assist Team Leader in maintaining audit schedules
Promote a supportive, fair and open culture that encourages and enables the site workforce to meet required performance standards
Meet Health and Safety legislation and move towards an environment where health and safety considerations are firmly embedded in the planning and decision making processes and the 'culture' ofUKEMS
Promote, monitor and maintain best practice in Infection Control management
Promote and ensure compliance with equality and diversity legislation developing active commitment to the need to ensure equality of opportunity and the benefits of diversity.
To participate in UKEMS performance appraisal system ( self and your team ) to undertake any identified training and development related to the post.

Your experience as assistant team leader will ideally have been obtainedin a clinical or similarenvironment.
Have vision- recommending improvements to all aspects of our service
Be an effective communicator having the ability to engage with a wide audience of personnel
The ability to work under pressure / towards deadlines
You will be productive working on your own initiative and as part of a busy team
Outstanding organisational skills, our business relies on efficiency, process and procedure

A full clean driving licence is required
Ideally qualified to FREC 4 Level or above,
