This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join a highly acclaimed luxury hospitality destination in Grasmere. The property holds a Michelin Star, Multiple AA Rosettes, a Michelin Green Star, a Michelin Key and is recognised among the Top 100 UK Restaurants, making this a brilliant role for someone who is passionate about service excellence and refined hospitality.

The role would suit someone with at least two years of high quality restaurant experience in a supervisory or management position. You will be guest facing, hands on and fully involved in the day to day running of service, supporting the team, managing the floor and helping deliver a polished, memorable dining experience for every guest.

Assistant Restaurant Manager Ideal Profile:

  • At least two years of high quality restaurant experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Background within Michelin, AA Rosette, fine dining or luxury hospitality would be highly beneficial
  • Confident managing floor operations and supporting a smooth service flow
  • Quality driven with impeccable attention to detail
  • Friendly, approachable and professional with excellent communication skills
  • Calm under pressure with a mature and solutions focused approach
  • Passionate about hospitality, guest experience and team development

Assistant Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Act as a visible face of the restaurant, delivering warm, professional and attentive guest service
  • Manage floor operations, ensuring service standards consistently meet guest expectations
  • Support service flow, table management and team communication during lunch and dinner service
  • Motivate, guide and develop the restaurant team throughout service and pre service preparation
  • Complete scheduling, staffing organisation, cash up and reporting responsibilities
  • Manage pre service menu checks, dietary confirmations and guest requirements
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness, set up, close down and daily checklists are completed to company standards
  • Report hazards or faulty equipment to management and support a safe working environment
  • Bring a flexible, hands on approach to support the wider restaurant team whenever needed
