Job Description
At JuliusBaer, the Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) Private Banking at the Ireland Branch supports Relationship Managers (RM) and Team Heads (TH) with daily operations, administration, client care and relationship management. The ARM is a key member of the Client Relationship Management team, ensuring high service quality and continuous improvement of processes.
Responsibilities- Client Administration & Management
- Supports RM/TH in client interaction and related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents) with high quality, precision and timely responsiveness.
- Customises client requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.).
- Manages RM/TH's calendar, prepares client meetings, organises business trips, completes post processing of client calls or meetings.
- Compiles presentations, supports drafting investment proposals and marketing activities (client reception, meetings, business trips, events, etc.).
- Ensures coverage in case of own absences.
- Business Management
- Regularly collects and exchanges relevant information.
- Organises work efficiently and ensures timely, appropriate information of the superior.
- Conducts reviews, plans ahead and documents work at all times.
- Supports RM/TH in implementing projects and initiatives.
- Provides professional input proposals for improvements based on experience, incidents or observations.
- Manages the expense claim process for RM/TH.
- Risk Management & Controls
- Actively helps manage risk (first line of defence), raising concerns, following up on issues and escalating when in doubt.
- Ensures adherence to local regulations and internal policies (new account openings, payment instructions, reviewing client phone calls or signing off at own level of competence, etc.) in collaboration with RMs and TH.
- Ensures timely clearance of pending items and escalated deficiencies.
- Ensures appropriate ethical and compliant behaviour in the area of responsibility.
- Ensures correct, meaningful and understandable documentation of client interaction/orders in tools (CRM, DiAS).

- Good understanding of relevant products and services in Private Banking.
- Basic knowledge of global financial markets and current developments in the industry.
- Education & Experience
- Relevant educational background (bank apprenticeship or equivalent) and professional experience in the financial industry.
- Good language skills (verbal and written) according to specific market requirements.
- Proven track record in servicing banking clients with complex needs (onboarding new clients, maintaining and extending current relationships).
