We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove, based on the female Acute Ward.

This role will be working full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00am to 5:00pm).

There are two wards at the hospital; a 20 bed Acute service for women and an 11 bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service.

Crocus Ward provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Burleigh Ward provides specialised support for women with a personality disorder and other complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written)
• Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
• Planning, delivering and evaluating individual/group programmes
• Contributing to regular MDT reviews for service users
• Administration, audit, research and service development

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
• Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
• Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Qualified to Master's degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)

Contracted hours: 40 per week. Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
