Profile

We're looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing a career in project management and contributing to the successful delivery of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update detailed construction programmes using Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor project milestones and produce programme updates for both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Identify programme risks, delays and schedule variances, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Support programme reviews, baseline planning and look-ahead scheduling.
  • Produce Gantt charts, critical path analysis and resource planning reports.
  • Maintain project trackers, risk registers, action logs and decision logs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  • Organise project meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes and track follow-up actions.
  • Support cost reporting, invoice tracking and purchase order administration
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring drawings, specifications and correspondence are accurately controlled and distributed.
  • Coordinate contractor documentation including RFIs, technical submittals and method statements.
  • Assist in compiling project handover documentation and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Attend project sites to support Project Managers and gain hands-on exposure to construction activities.
  • Assist in coordinating site meetings, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Maintain site records including progress photographs, daily diaries and project documentation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Renewable Energy Experience (MUST HAVE)
  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, or up to two years' experience in a project support or coordination role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, with the ability to create and maintain project programmes independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
