Job Description
For our Design and Product development team in Amsterdam HQ, we are looking for Junior Design and Product Development Coordinator.
The Brand:
Tenue. is Amsterdam based brand, full rooted in Denim, but bridges classic and contemporary workwear.
We make clothes that are produced in a close collaboration with our suppliers in Italy, Portugal and Japan.
We believe in garments that are created in an honest way with a transparent supply chain with a low impact to the world we live in.
We would like people to buy less and to buy better, and with so much stuff out there, we want Tenue. clothing to be loved and worn every day.
The Position:
You will support our Design/Product Development Team with various tasks, including fitting sessions, preparing and attending key meetings (proto review, price meetings, SMS reviews) and taking active part in daily product development processes, from Proto to Bulk Production
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting PD/Design with their daily tasks:
1. Daily Design/Product Development Activities:
- Actively taking part in preparation and during key meetings (Fabric sourcing meeting, Proto review, Price meeting, Collection reviews, Samples fittings etc)
- Preparation for fitting sessions, measuring garments and entering data in the systems
- Supporting PD department by taking active part in fitting sessions, looking critically at garments, making comments, entering data in tech packs
- Technical Drawings and Design Overviews update
2. Research & Analysis: Together with Design taking part in researching market trends and design directions
3. Data Management: Supporting PD department in an accurate and up-to-date information maintenance/data integrity: ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data (BOM, sizespecs, wash files, FOB's etc)
4. Communication with vendors: Support PD in communication with vendors on all technical issues, fabric/fit/wash and in providing technical expertise on how to correct or achieve a desired look
Who are we looking for:
- 1-2 years or more of working experience
- MBO or HBO in clothing /textiles or equivalent experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good eye for detail
- High data integrity and precision
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Enthusiastic and able to work in a highly productive, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach
- Good command of written & spoken English
- Excel and Illustrator skills is a must
