Job Description
Job overview 
Ophthalmology - Assistant Patient Pathway Administrator, Band 3, full time, 37.5 hours per week. Position at John Radcliffe Hospital, West Wing.
We are seeking a candidate with strong organisational and communication skills to manage patient pathways and provide efficient administrative support to the surgical ophthalmology team.
Responsibilities- Provide professional, comprehensive and effective administration support to the nursing, medical and wider teams.
- Liaise with staff and colleagues at all levels to coordinate patient care.
- Manage each patient's pathway in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prioritise and manage workload to meet tight deadlines in a pressurised and busy environment.
- Use the Trust's Electronic Patient Record System (EPR) and understand elective access standards.
- Good basic educational qualifications, e.g., 5 or more GCSEs (including English and Maths) grade C or above, or equivalent.
- Previous administration experience.
- Competent computer skills.
- Experience within the NHS desirable.
- Ability to plan and coordinate work within area of responsibility.
- Good level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of interacting with a wide range of people.
