The Childhood Service (SDEN) manages the school and extracurricular buildings for primary education, attended daily by students aged 4 to 12 years. It ensures the development of quality extracurricular and periscolary activities that shape the social life of children outside of school hours, such as school canteens, toy libraries, Discovery, and Mobiles. The Service is also responsible for the child rights policy for the City of Geneva: It ensures safety on the way to school and organizes celebrations that mark the school year. To complete its team, the Service is looking for an Assistant or Assistant Director at 100% Your mission and responsibilities: - Participate in the management of the service and lead cross-cutting projects or those specific to the unit, particularly those related to childhood public policy and children's rights. - Lead the Child Activities unit and develop services for children and families, particularly around parenting support or leisure offerings in neighborhoods. - Manage and develop relationships between the school and its environment, collaborating with school management, stakeholders, and parent associations. - Supervise safety measures on the way to school as well as school events. - Be responsible for several celebrations, particularly the end-of-year school celebration.
