The on-target earning potential for this role is £35,193.60,comprising a base rate of £33,196.80 supplemented by an estimated £1,996.80 ingratuities, ensuring a rewarding compensation package.
About the roleWe'relooking for a hardworking and proactive Back of House Assistant Manager to helpoversee the smooth running of our kitchen operations. This is a hands-onleadership role where you'll work alongside the kitchen porter team across allfive kitchens, supporting the Kitchen Porter Manager to maintain clean,organised, and fully equipped spaces. You'll lead by example, ensuring highstandards and smooth coordination in a fast-paced environment while stepping into manage when required.
You'llplay a key part in keeping operations efficient and compliant, liaising withchefs and kitchen staff to meet daily needs, and motivating the porter team todeliver exceptional standards.
This roleis for 48 hours per week working a variety of shifts and will include weekendsand evenings.
Key Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day management of thekitchen porter team
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness andhygiene in all kitchen areas
- Organise cleaning schedules and ensure dutiesare carried out efficiently and thoroughly
- Assist with inventory management of cleaningsupplies and kitchen equipment
- Train and motivate new and existing porters
- Step in for the Kitchen Porter Manager whenneeded
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene,and health & safety regulations
- Liaise with chefs and kitchen staff to meetoperational needs
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchensetting
- Experience in a supervisory or team leadercapacity is required. Rota management skills are preferred.
- Food Safety Level 2 and COSHH understanding
- Strong work ethic with a hands-on, lead byexample approach
- Excellent time management and communicationskills
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, physicallydemanding environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health &safety standards
