Blue Forge Recruitment is delighted to represent a well known supermarket group located in South Dublin, ideal for someone near Midleton, Little Island. This vibrant, modern supermarket store has received a number of awards, particularly for fresh foods standing out among its competitors. My client is looking for a trusted Floor Manager - a person with presence, experience as a senior trainee manager, who can develop and refine retail skills through on job training and mentoring from a highly experienced retail team. The role requires managing the shop floor, merchandise, standards, compliance, financial analysis, profit margins, people management and HR skills.

Responsibilities

• Shop minding, ensuring the store runs smoothly and maintaining standards while managing the store on your own in morning or closing shifts.
• Driving sales, controlling stock levels, managing promotional change over, and ensuring profit margins reach the agreed target.
• People management, developing and coaching teams, learning performance management, conflict resolution, motivating colleagues, rota planning, etc.
• KPI and target management, enhancing commercial acumen to make money, controlling costs effectively, and driving productivity.
• Customer service, enhancing customer experience through training, resolving complaints, and training teams to gain further industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Ambitious supervisor or duty manager with retail experience (grocery supermarkets or convenience stores). Knowledge of HACCP and customer service required.
• Passion for grocery retail and working with the general public.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends as part of a fair rota for all managers.

Salary: €38,000 - €40,000 DOE.
