Job Description
We are currently seeking an Assistant Herdsperson for an established 180-cow commercial dairy herd based in the South Clare area. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced candidate to join a progressive dairy farm operation.
Responsibilities- Milking and general dairy herd management
- Monitoring animal health and welfare
- Milk quality control
- General farm maintenance
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the farm
- Operating farm machinery where required
- Previous dairy farm experience is essential
- Experience working with a commercial dairy herd
- Strong skills in milking, animal husbandry, milk quality control, and farm maintenance
- Good communication skills in English
- Farm machinery experience would be a strong advantage
- Must be available for an immediate start
