About youWe are seeking someone with a strong character, values and the requisite skill set to bring about continued improvement. You will lead on specific aspects including behaviour, culture (including attendance) and as part of the DSL team. You will work closely alongside our current Assistant Headteacher on the inclusion and achievement of children from vulnerable groups. You will need to build relationships with children and families to communicate the very highest of expectations and ensure the work you do leads to strong outcomes.
The new Assistant Headteacher will be an integral part of our established Senior Leadership Team. You will be at the heart of building the values, learning dispositions and sense of right and wrong in our children. You will ensure the school remains a place of safety and certainty for all children with clear boundaries consistently applied and staff skilled in the many nuances of managing behaviour.
You will be integral to our whole school development and help to drive improvement in all areas, supporting our strategic direction and participating actively in all aspects of school improvement. We will be highly collaborative and committed to the very best for our children. This role is non-class-based initially with some requirements to cover where needed. The school is committed to practical workload reduction strategies. Wellbeing is everyone's responsibility and you would need to work to achieve this in your role.

Salary range: L6 to L10.
