Working Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Role Overview

Assist in all aspects of the operation of the building in relation to events staged at the venue. Serve as a central point for all relevant parties, disseminating information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist all departments of the venue in general administration.
  • Act as a central point for relevant parties and disseminate information.
  • Serve as Duty Manager for the venue as agreed in advance with the General Manager and assume duties necessary to ensure smooth operation when the General Manager is absent.
  • Serve as Academy Event representative as agreed with the General Manager to ensure smooth running of events on behalf of Academy Events.
  • Book local support acts for Academy Events and external promoters and promote in house shows with General Manager approval.
  • Provide administrative support to the General Manager / Assistant General Manager in daily, weekly and monthly duties.
  • Liaise with any visiting organisations (rehearsals, film, radio, promoters) and ensure invoices are raised and paid.
  • Ensure appropriate event information is provided to all staff to support effective operations.
  • Liaise with the Technical Manager to ensure venue information is accurate and available.
  • Coordinate with venue staff (house management, security, maintenance, cleaners) to ensure efficient building operations.
  • Act as licensee to the building under the direction of the DPS and ensure operations comply with the operating plan.
  • Book support bands for Academy Events and externally promoted shows when requested.
  • Book events with General Manager approval to increase business levels.
  • Undertake other duties deemed reasonable.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Personal Licence holder.
  • Experience in live and club music venue management.
  • Marketing and promotion of events and club nights.
  • Knowledge of the local market.
  • Line management of staff and contractors.
  • Administration and familiarity with Excel and Office.
  • Finance and cash handling.
  • General understanding of technical requirements of live and club events.
  • Experience working with event promoters locally and nationally.
  • Understanding of licensing issues for events.
