We are recruiting for an Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a Build to Rent community in Exeter. This is a hands on role supporting resident experience, leasing activity, and operational performance while working closely with the General Manager to deliver a high-quality living environment.
This opportunity suits a customer focused property professional looking to step into a broader operational role within the BTR sector, gaining exposure across leasing, resident engagement, and building management.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Support the General Manager with the smooth daily running of the building and resident services
- Assist with leasing activity including enquiries, viewings, and tenancy progression
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, acting as a key point of contact for residents and visitors
- Help coordinate resident events and engagement initiatives to build a strong community atmosphere
- Monitor building presentation and work with maintenance teams to ensure standards are maintained
- Support rent collection processes and basic reporting where required
- Respond to resident queries and resolve issues efficiently and professionally
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and operational policies
- Previous experience in property, hospitality, PBSA, BTR, or customer facing environments
- Strong communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach
- Confident conducting viewings and supporting leasing or sales activity
- Customer centric mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional, approachable, and adaptable within a fast paced residential setting
- IT literate with experience using CRM or property management systems beneficial
