Assistant Farm Manager Near Oundle, Northamptonshire/Cambridgeshire border Full-time, Senior Role Competitive salary, DOE 
About Us We are producing native-breed, high-welfare grass-fed beef alongside an intensive beef finishing unit, and building direct relationships with local customers and wholesale partners. As we grow, we're planning a new poultry enterprise and developing a retail beef business and we're looking for someone to help lead that growth.
The RoleYou'll support the day-to-day running of Longbrook Farm, working closely with the Farm Director to ensure livestock and land are managed sustainably and profitably. This is currently a standalone role, with strong potential to grow into a full management position across the enterprises as the business expands.
What You'll Be Doing- Overseeing day-to-day welfare, health, and husbandry across the grass-fed beef herd and intensive finishing unit, plus general farm, yard, and light arable work
- Planning and coordinating breeding, nutrition, forage strategy, and pasture management
- Working alongside the Farm Director to uphold high standards of animal care, product quality, and environmental stewardship
- Supporting the launch of a new poultry enterprise housing, feeding, biosecurity, and welfare systems
- Helping develop our retail beef offering, from butchery and packaging to local delivery and provenance storytelling
- Maintaining farm infrastructure, equipment, and machinery, and supporting budgeting and cost control
- Managing records for livestock performance, compliance, and existing SFI schemes
- Proven agricultural experience, including livestock management
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a standalone role
- Commercial acumen, with project planning experience an advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Full driving licence and cattle experience essential
- Telehandler certificate, trailer licence, chainsaw, and workshop skills an advantage (training available)
