We are Hiring an Assistant Director Of Nursing for a leading Nursing Home in Co Donegal, Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate staff induction programmes and support ongoing training and professional development.
  • Promote and encourage innovative practices to enhance resident care and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, HIQA standards, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Facilitate regular communication and engagement meetings with all clinical staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external community agencies, supporting resident participation in local events and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Home's profile and presence within the local community.
  • Implement and monitor Health and Safety policies to ensure the wellbeing of residents, staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Organise and oversee regular fire safety training sessions and evacuation drills.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and infection prevention throughout the Home.
  • Ensure a preventative maintenance programme is established, monitored, and effectively implemented.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and interviewing of staff.
  • Conduct regular training needs analyses and develop action plans to address identified learning requirements.
  • Provide cover for the Director of Nursing as required.
  • Ensure clinical practices within the Home consistently meet all relevant regulations, standards, and quality requirements.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' management experience within the last six years, preferably in the care of older persons.
  • Relevant post-registration management qualification in healthcare or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making abilities with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to respond effectively to the evolving needs of the organisation.
