Local Government Reorganisation is creating a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of public services across Norfolk.

We're looking for an exceptional leader to work alongside our Chief Executive, elected members and senior leadership team to drive transformation, lead organisational change and play a pivotal role in both support Breckland Council through the transition of local government reorganisation and the creation of the future West Norfolk unitary authority.

This is a rare opportunity to influence decisions at the highest level, build lasting partnerships and help create an organisation that delivers outstanding outcomes for residents, communities and businesses across the region.

What you'll be doing
  • Shape the future of local government in Norfolk through one of the most significant public sector transformation programmes in a generation.
  • Partner with senior leaders by working alongside the Chief Executive, elected members and senior leadership team as a trusted strategic adviser.
  • Build strategic relationships across organisations, developing partnerships and momentum behind shared goals.
  • Lead transformational change that improves services, strengthens organisational performance and delivers lasting benefits for communities.
  • Facilitate strategic conversations that challenge thinking, align priorities and help leaders navigate uncertainty with confidence.
  • Drive delivery and momentum by ensuring priorities remain aligned, barriers are removed and progress is maintained.
