The opportunityAt EY-Parthenon, we combine transformative strategy, transactions, tax and corporate finance to deliver real-world value. Our due diligence work assesses a target company's finances and business projections, identifies opportunities and risks, and reports findings to clients, banks, investors and other parties.
You will collaborate with experienced due diligence professionals, develop your skills across sectors, and may travel within the UK or internationally. Work is typically part of broader cross service line teams.
Your key responsibilitiesAs an Assistant Director, you will:
- Understand key business drivers, co develop our approach with the client, and agree on value measurements.
- Provide value through insights, facts and advice to clients, banks, investors and other stakeholders.
- Project manage teams and collaborate closely with all members, building strong internal links across Financial Diligence and other EY departments.
- Gather, verify and assess information, and formulate views.
- Plan, prepare and review deliverables in various forms, including written reports and presentations.
- Plan and monitor the progress of the team.
- Share your technical and other knowledge with the team and the department.
- Build and develop internal and external networks through personal contacts.
- Identify opportunities to sell additional services to clients based on the firm's capabilities.
- Play a role in business plan initiatives such as key accounts, recruitment and the client service framework.
- Serve as a true business advisor to the client and establish yourself as a key client contact.
- Take responsibility for your own learning and development, support others, and participate in upward feedback.
- Gather, verify and analyse information to formulate views and conclusions.
- Have demonstrable experience in planning, preparing and reviewing deliverables in various forms, including written reports, presentations and client discussions.
- Offer a supportive culture to junior team members and help develop their skills.
- Business development experience.
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong commercial experience and/or relevant industry or transaction experience (including financial due diligence).
- A passion to provide high quality service to clients.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Effective time management and the ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A team player attitude with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Counselling skills (though not essential).
