About the role

Be part of this 'once in a generation' project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke.

What you'll be doing

The Assistant Consents Engineer will support the CWA Consents team, with the management of any conditions applied to approved Consents. They will assist in developing & co-ordinating the supporting information and documentation for Consent submittals. Prior to construction the Assistant Consents Engineer will check all necessary Consents are in place for works and during the construction they will
ensure that the conditions applied to consents are being monitored and adhered to.

Knowledge & Skills
• A strong communicator that can use a variety of methods when communicating with both internal
and external stakeholders.
• Takes ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes.
• Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
• A willingness to learn and actively seek out information off their own accord.
• Good time management and organised.
• Competent in data management using Microsoft Excel.
Health Safety & Environmental
• Has an appreciation for H&S hazards, risks and mitigation methods.
• Environmental awareness.
• Consent regulator awareness.
Quality
• Reads and understands drawings and schedules.
• Awareness and use of specification and other contract documents.
Reporting
• Able to identify and report on risks/issues at a basic level
