We are looking for Assistant Commissioning Officer's to work in the People Commissioning Team. Three positions available in the Older Adults team: two full-time and one part-time. This role plays a key part in implementing changes across several services.

The People Commissioning Service seeks Assistant Commissioning Officers in the Older People's Adults teams. These teams commission safe, cost-effective services for target populations in Cornwall.

The Assistant Commissioning Officer will work with partners across Adult Social Care, NHS, operational teams, care providers, and service users to support the implementation of the Commissioning Intention in line with National and Local policy direction.

Role

The role holder will support the people commissioning team in working with partner organisations and stakeholders to review and deliver the specific commissioning intentions identified in the team plan.

Key duties include analysing residents' needs and performance by providers, planning and participating in effective contracting and procurement processes. The post holder will take an active role and support the team in co-producing services with users and communities.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Interest in the commissioning and procurement of people services.
  • Experience engaging with the public, service users, carers, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of good customer care and experience dealing with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to examine, interpret and extract information, then organise it for analysis.
  • Experience working as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and ability to accept direction.
