Assistant Chef

About the Role

HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a great understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. You'll be organised, meet deadlines, present food attractively and follow recipes perfectly. Whenever you communicate with a Resident or co worker, you'll be considerate and kind.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that residents will love.
• Take outstanding support to the First Chef, and manage the kitchen in their absence.
• Manage food stock, budget, and coach or supervise colleagues.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards are upheld.
• Recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns appropriately.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Strong understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
• Organised, timely, and able to present food attractively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
