Your new role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, taking on a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  • Maintaining and reconciling purchase and sales ledgers
  • Processing supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payments
  • Managing bank reconciliations and assisting with cash flow reporting
  • Supporting credit control and debt management efforts
  • Assisting with VAT returns, Intrastat, and RCT/CIS reporting
  • Preparing journals and contributing to monthly management accounts
  • Ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, applicants should hold an Accounting Technician qualification (such as ATI or AAT) or be a part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) with relevant experience in a finance role. Candidates must demonstrate a positive and proactive approach, alongside a high level of integrity and confidentiality. A strong willingness to learn and grow within the position is also essential, ensuring adaptability and continuous professional development.
