Overview

Assistant / Associate Professor in Fintech Management (2 positions available; Teaching & Scholarship track). Discipline: Business & Project Management; Faculty: Social Sciences; Location: London, Devon House (St Katharine Docks) / Portsoken; Term: fixed, 12 months; FTE: up to 1.0 for each position.

Salary ranges:

• Assistant Professor (G8): £49,469 - £57,316, progressing to £60,795 per annum once in post.
• Associate Professor (G9): £59,030 - £72,555, progressing to £79,276 per annum once in post.

Responsibilities

The appointee will teach undergraduate and/or graduate students and undertake professional service in line with the needs of the Faculty and University. Core duties include:

• Developing and delivering innovative, inclusive teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Providing service to the discipline and the wider Faculty.
• Engaging in research and scholarship relevant to Fintech Management and its intersections with financial management, international finance, investments, and data analytics.
• Supporting a diverse student body and fostering inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Assistant Professor: PhD completed or near completion (all but dissertation) or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area; FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected (desirable).
• Associate Professor: PhD completed or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area; FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected.

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment, with evidence of adaptability, innovation, and inclusivity.
• For Associate Professors: Evidence of intellectual and practical leadership to achieve the above.
• Willingness to engage with external partners and colleagues across diverse disciplines within Northeastern University London and the global network.
• Continuous professional development, particularly in technology, data, sustainability, and ethics.
• Ability to develop postgraduate-level educational provision with a focus on experiential learning.
• Teaching competency in Project Management at Levels 4-7 (undergraduate and/or postgraduate).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills (face to face and online).
• Strong IT skills and demonstrated support for integrating technology into teaching.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
