The University has been at the forefront of agricultural education for 180 years and is globally renowned for its links with industry and courses that are designed to meet the demands of the changing land-based sector.

As one of the UK's smallest universities, they are ideally people-centred and agile: students and staff alike are names, not numbers. As well as creating a pleasant working environment, this also means that they advance projects promptly, with clarity on lines of support for colleagues in supporting the University's mission.

The University is pursuing an ambitious strategy to improve the student experience, no matter where in the world their students' study. They are looking for someone who can apply that vision to the co-ordination of student assessments (e.g. coursework; examinations) within the wider teaching curriculum, and be both attentive and pro-active in ensuring fair and accurate outcomes.

Reporting directly to the Head of Registry, you will manage the operational provision of student assessment at the University and its collaborative partners. This will involve responsibility for coordinating a small team to guarantee accurate, timely and fair delivery across the assessment lifecycle, including: ensuring assessment criteria, mark schemes and briefs are correctly allocated against relevant modules, monitoring coursework submissions and maintaining deadlines; liaising with academics on marking; arranging and overseeing formal examinations.

The University is set in beautiful surroundings and offers a range of staff benefits, including a 35-hour working week with flexible working arrangements, a generous 30 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time posts), pension scheme, free parking on campus, discounted catering facilities, discounted onsite gym, free library services, employee assistance programme, occupational health and counselling services, cycle to work scheme and staff development opportunities. Further details of the full range of staff benefits available can be found on their website.
