Job Title : Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Engineer
Location : South East England
Salary : £38,000 - £52,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime + Van + Benefits
Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

We are a fast-growing renewable energy company specialising in low-carbon heating solutions. With the UK accelerating toward net zero, we are expanding our operations and seeking a skilled and motivated Air Source Heat Pump Engineer to join our team delivering high-quality ASHP installations in residential properties.
Role Overview
As an ASHP Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding of air source heat pump systems, predominantly in domestic settings. You will play a key role in helping homeowners transition to low-carbon heating and ensuring all work meets industry standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Install and commission air source heat pumps (5-16kW), hot water cylinders, and associated heating components
Carry out routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of ASHP systems
Integrate ASHPs with existing or newly installed heating systems (radiators, underfloor heating, etc.)
Perform system testing, flushing, and balancing
Ensure compliance with MCS standards and Building Regulations (Part L, Part P)
Complete commissioning reports and customer handover documentation
Liaise with office/project managers, electricians, and other trades as required
Maintain high standards of health and safety and customer care at all times
Requirements
Essential :
Minimum NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent
Proven experience installing or commissioning ASHPs (Vaillant, Samsung etc.)
Strong understanding of wet heating systems and controls
Valid UK driving licence
Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable :
Unvented hot water systems (G3) qualification
F-Gas qualification (if refrigerant handling is required)
18th Edition (for dual-skilled engineers)
MCS or manufacturer training certification
Experience working in retrofit or new build environments
