About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASC, SEMH, and communication needs
  • Support personalised learning plans, structured routines, and transitions
  • Promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement in learning
  • Work closely with an experienced SEND teacher and supportive school staff
  • Help create a calm, safe, and positive learning environment
  • Build trusting relationships to help pupils feel confident, secure, and ready to learn
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has a strong understanding of ASC, SEMH, and communication needs
  • Is calm, resilient, and consistent in approach
  • Confidently supports behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
  • Is reliable, committed, and passionate about helping pupils thrive
  • Is a positive team player who enjoys collaborative work
