Job Description

Our client is a well-established asbestos company with a strong reputation and, due to the continuing growth of the business, they are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Asbestos Lab Manager to join their busy team in the South West region. Applications from Gloucester, Bath, Swindon and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Attained the P401 qualification as a minimum.
• Will have supervisory or management experience.
• Must have experience in equipment validation, maintenance and calibration.
• A strong technical, quality, audits, and laboratory background essential.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Office package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, train and develop staff.
• Ensure working environment is clean and safe at all times.
• Compliance with all the Health and Safety requirements of the role.
• Oversee the laboratory team and ensure work is carried out effectively.
• Ensure samples are appropriately dealt with and stored correctly.
• Monitor all work to ensure compliance with the company's procedures and policies.
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
• Carry out audit checks.
• Build and maintain a good working relationship with the company's large portfolio of clients.
