Asbestos Lab Analyst - Sheffield

Overview

Our client is a prolific and fast growing asbestos company with an excellent reputation within the industry. They are actively seeking a knowledgeable and hardworking Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Sheffield area. Consideration will be given to applications from Worksop, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Rotherham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Hold the P401 certificate or equivalent qualifications.
• Previous experience working within this role in a laboratory environment and in the asbestos industry.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Interest in holding P401, P402, P403, P404, or S301 CCP.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
• Preparing samples for analysis.
• Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content and reporting analytical findings.
• Completing analysis test sheets accurately and ensuring workload is completed within required time frame.
• Assisting with other laboratory duties and ad hoc duties as required.
