As & When - Project Worker 2 - Independent Child Trafficking Guardian - London & South East

We are looking for passionate individuals to join the National Counter Trafficking Centre as 'As and When' workers. If you have experience in Immigration, Social Care, or Criminal Justice and are located in the following areas:

• London
• South (Essex, Kent, Hampshire, Surrey)

and are ready to improve the lives of young people affected by modern slavery, we want to hear from you!

This role is on an 'As and When' contract, supporting service delivery during periods of increased capacity, including weekends and school holidays. Responsibilities may include working directly with children, delivering training, facilitating group work, and covering on-call duties.

The hours will depend on your availability. The role is home-based, but extensive weekly travel across our delivery sites in London or South regions may be required. Candidates must have a confidential space for work and a current driving license with access to a car or be able to travel extensively via public transport.

We provide a robust induction and training program, and you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working alongside passionate colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation, working with other professionals to ensure appropriate support.
• Providing advice and guidance on child trafficking, safety planning, and participating in multi-agency meetings.
• Developing initial needs assessments and action plans.
• Supporting practitioners to meet the needs of trafficked children.
• Managing a caseload of young people, adhering to KPIs and Home Office guidance.
• Supporting children through face-to-face and online contact, using creative approaches.
• Responding to safeguarding concerns and working with partner agencies to ensure safety.

These roles will run alongside existing contracts, which are valid until 31 March 2026.
