Artist Services Manager: Young Audiences
Posted 16 hours 37 minutes ago by Bryn Mawr College
Young Audiences Arts for Learning New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania (YA) is dedicated to inspiring young people and expanding their learning through the arts.
Founded in 1973, YA has become the region's most comprehensive arts-in-education organization. Our primary venue is schools, where we deliver arts experiences by professional teaching artists directly to students. Our goal is to eliminate participation barriers and increase arts accessibility for students of all socioeconomic backgrounds, geographic areas, and abilities.
The Artist Services Manager plays a vital role in developing and maintaining productive relationships with the YA roster of teaching artists (independent contractors). These artists represent diverse disciplines and provide performances, workshops, residencies for PreK-12 students, and professional development for teachers.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of arts education-understanding how arts are integrated into schools, how teaching artists complement school programs, support student identity and creativity, and foster a welcoming school environment. They must have a strong belief in and commitment to the value of arts education for all children. The candidate should be curious about all art forms and maintain a personal connection to the arts in daily life.
