Subject Lead - Art, Secondary School Star Academies Trust, Temp-to-Perm Option (MPS/UPS + TLR 2)
An ambitious secondary school within Star Academies is seeking a Subject Lead for Art to provide strong curriculum and departmental leadership.
This role suits an outstanding Art teacher ready to step into, or continue in, middle leadership.
Responsibilities- Lead Art across KS3 and KS4, including curriculum, assessment, and standards
- Drive high-quality teaching and learning through coaching and support
- Use data to raise attainment, particularly for disadvantaged pupils
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and enrichment opportunities
- Support KS2-KS3 transition within the subject
- QTS and a relevant degree (2:2 or above)
- Proven track record of strong or outstanding Art teaching
- Secure subject knowledge to GCSE level
- Ability to motivate, support, and challenge colleagues
- High expectations of behaviour, engagement, and outcomes
- Strong CPD and leadership development through Star Academies
