Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Maillefer s pipe and tube production systems to producers within a designated geographical region. You will establish and execute a regional technical sales plan to achieve targets, supported by Maillefer s regional sales offices and agent networks. Close collaboration with the Product Management team in Switzerland will be key, and you will report directly to the Sales Director, Pipe & Tube Business Line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the entire technical sales process; the job includes tasks like identifying leads, issuing quotations and negotiating contracts in an international B2B environment.
  • Manage, develop and maintain a strong customer portfolio by establishing long-term relationships and providing quality customer service.
  • Identify new market opportunities and actively expand the customer base.
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars, sales events, and training sessions to promote products and strengthen Maillefer s presence in the market.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities together with our agents and report insights to support product portfolio adjustments.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, automation, or equivalent).
  • Additional training in sales techniques or international business.
  • Significant experience in technical sales of investment goods, ideally within the industrial machinery or plastics industry.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to sell according to customer needs and market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (spoken and written), other languages being a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with proven capacity to work independently.
  • Customer focus and result oriented.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally (around 30% of the time) and work with a flexible schedule.
